St. Mary's Churchyard

Our historic churchyard dates back several centuries and has plenty of features of interest including a war grave and the grave of Sidney Sime, a distinguished local artist whose works are exhibited in a gallery at the nearby Worplesdon Memorial Hall. The churchyard offers a peaceful place to enjoy nature and reflect on life. Seats are dotted around. Although much of the churchyard is now closed, there is a Garden of Remembrance where the ashes of parishioners can be interred. An extension to the churchyard is currently open for burials of parishioners. In both cases, please contact the Rector for details of arranging funerals and subsequent burial or interment.
