THE FINAL

Following the semi-final of the Worplesdon Young Musician of the year 2024 Competition, 12 candidates have been selected to go through to the final on Saturday 16th March at St Alban’s Church in Wood Street GU3 3ES at 2:15pm.

Tickets for the final can be brought via the Worplesdon Church Office churchoffice@worplesdonparish.com and are £10 per adult with children under 16 free.

The overall standard was again extremely high with contestants ranging from ages 6 to 15, with a selection of instruments (piano, drums, saxophone, trombone, guitar, clarinet and violin) and voice.

As a special trate at the interval, Leia, last year’s Worplesdon Young Musician Overall Winner will perform a piano recital.

In the words of the competition’s adjudicator, Dr Amy Bebbington, the semi-final was ‘a lovely competitive event and a great enjoyable musical morning!’
