Initial Submissions

Initial Submissions: maximum 3-minute good audio and video recording by 9th December 2024 which will be reviewed by 14th December with candidates informed before Christmas.

The judging criteria for the initial submissions is purely based on musicality. The submissions should be sent either to our WhatsApp 07305226107 or to our email WYMOY25@GMAIL.COM together with a photograph of this completed form.

Those chosen to go forward to the next stage will need to submit sheet music for all their pieces.

Semi Final

Semi-final: in person performance of a different (not the same as the initial submission) piece of music up to 3 minutes to take place on Saturday February 8th at St Alban’s church in front of a professional Adjudicator, Dr Amy Bebbington BMus (Hons), MA, ALCM, MISM

Final

Final: In person performance of a different (not previously submitted or played) piece up to 3 minutes to be held at St Alban’s church on Saturday afternoon 15th March 2025 in front of a panel of judges chaired by Dr Amy Bebbington.

Worplesdon Young Musician of the year 2025: There will be five winners: one for each age group and one overall winner. The prizes will be given out at the final.

Prize Detail

Overall Winner will receive £100. Winners of each age group will receive £50.
